Web-based Remedy Ticket Submission
 

To Create a Remedy Ticket

  1. Open Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer.
  2. Go to https://www.unc.edu/ar-bin/websub/index.pl
  3. Type your Onyen (email name) and Password.
  4. Click the Log In button.
    If you do not have an Onyen and Password you may still submit a HELP Request for HRIS issues by clicking the text under the Log In button that states 'Click here for issues not requiring authentication' or you can contact the ITRC by dialing 962-4357 and the ITRC can start a HELP Request for you that will be routed to the HRIS Helpdesk.
  5. Select HRIS Question from the Type of Help Needed drop down list.
  6. Type specific information in the Problem Description text field.
  7. Verify your Email Address.
  8. Verify your Phone Number.
  9. Choose Important, General or Critical from the Severity drop down list.,
  10. Click Submit.

    You will receive confirmation that your request was submitted and a problem request number is assigned to your ticket.

    You will also receive an email confirmation of your request with the problem description. Print the email message for future reference.

To Check on the Status of your Request

  1. Open Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer.
  2. Go to https://www.unc.edu/ar-bin/websub/index.pl
  3. Type your Onyen (email name) and Password.
  4. Click the Log In button.
    You are not required to have an Onyen and Password to submit a Remedy ticket but you do need one to check the status or update an existing ticket.
  5. Click Check/Update Requests button.
  6. Click the ticket number to see the status of a ticket.
  7. To update your ticket by adding new comments click 'Update this ticket'.
  8. Type new comments in the Problem Description text field.
  9. Click the 'Submit New Information' button.
