Changing a Password in the Logon Dialog Box

1. Type current user name (FACS ID) and password.
2. Click .

Passwords are set to expire every 90 days. Passwords must be from 6 to 8 characters long. Must start with a letter but remainder of password can contain numbers or letters. No special characters such as @, #, $, % etc. are allowed.

3. Type the new password.
4. Type the new password again for confirmation.
5. Click .

6. Logon Dialog Box will be displayed again with your user name and new password already loaded.
7. Click .

Forgot your password or password expired?

If you have forgotten your password or your password has expired you must contact the ITRS Helpdesk @ 962-HELP or submit a web-based Remedy ticket by going to https://www.unc.edu/ar-bin/remedy.pl. Once your password has been reset you will receive an email with a temporary password and instructions on how to assign yourself a personal password.
