Home Department Definition (Check Destination)
Home Department is the Check Distribution Department. The check will go to this department.

The following three data fields are listed in order of their importance in determining which department is the home/check distribution department.

    1. The earliest start date.
    2. The highest hourly rate.
    3. The highest FTE value.

If all three data fields are identical, then the End Date is used in determining the home department. The appointment with the longest End Date becomes
the Home Department.

If two of the three data fields are identical, then the home department is determined by the data field that differs.

Example 1

Appointment Start Date End Date Hourly Rate FTE
Appt 1 01/01/2002 12/31/2002 8.00 .50 (20)

Appt 3 03/01/2002 12/31/2002 8.00 .25 (10)

Home Department is Appt 1 because Start Date is the earliest.

Appt 3 02/01/2002 12/31/2002 12.00 .25 (10)

Home Department is Appt 1 because FTE is the largest. Start Date is the same for all.

Example 5

Appointment Start Date End Date Hourly Rate FTE
Appt 1 02/01/2002 12/31/2002 12.00 .50 (20)
Appt 2 02/01/2002 02/28/2003 12.00 .50 (20)
